Hello! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Chad Leblanc, LCPC, and I believe in the deep connection between mind, body, and soul. My path into counseling has been shaped by both personal passions and professional training, and I strive to bring a holistic, human approach to the work I do.

My Story

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Southern Maine and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing here in Portland. Guided by Rogerian principles of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness, I see therapy as a collaborative process where clients remain in charge of their choices and direction.

My work integrates evidence-based modalities, including Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, diagnosis and treatment planning, and group process facilitation. I specialize in helping individuals build coping strategies that allow them to stay present with difficult emotions while addressing root causes and fostering long-term growth.

Before becoming a therapist, I cultivated my appreciation for the mind–body connection as a yoga instructor, teaching on the West Coast and in Costa Rica. This experience continues to shape my therapeutic perspective — emphasizing balance, resilience, and lifelong growth.

Outside of my work with clients, you’ll often find me riding motorcycles, traveling, playing music, or waving at dogs (and sometimes their owners). I believe in lifelong activity, creativity, and learning — and I bring that same energy and curiosity into my practice with every client and group I meet.
